Above is the baseball pictogram for the Beijing Olympics in 2008. A bit clunky, and it looks like he’s taking one right down the middle! But hey, just glad to be a part of the festivities, right?
They still play baseball in the Olympics? Oh, right, we didn’t make the cut last time. But we sure showed them in the WBC.
Not for long, though. Isn’t this the last Olympics for baseball?
Maybe the little batter guy is about to take one for the team. It looks like the ball could be about to hit him in the rump.
Yup last time for baseball, however its probably going to be reinstated for the 2016 games, after sitting out the 2012 London games. My guess is that it was planned all along to help London limit its contruiction costs for buildings it will never use again. Atleast in China with baseball growing there they can use the stadiums after the olympics.
