Jayson Stark on Roger Clemens, writing one of the bigger mixed metaphors I have seen:

"He was clearly tempted by all of them, and especially by the thought of going back to Boston, to rewrite a final chapter that has stuck in his digestive tract for a decade and a half.”

So, if I get this right, and per Stark’s take, Clemens hoped to return to Beantown in order to shit out the last paragraph of his career.  Thank goodness for Drayton…

  • LOL! I hate ESPN. The very dew decent things on their website are pay only. Stuart Scott is the Sports Anti-Christ.

  • Classic gobbledygook. The visual I’m getting is Clemens tearing pages out of books and eating them.

  • Garbage. He was never ever coming back to Boston. The agents win this one as usual. How stupid is the Houston ownership?
