Author, Author, A-Rod

Could we have the explanation for A-Rod’s postseason slump right here? Concerned about a looming publisher’s deadline? The “autobiographical” book tells the story of a young slugger for the Yankees Caribes who first fails his mates and then makes good the next year after a winter of high-stakes poker and hanging out with Jay-Z at Club 40-40 rededicating himself to an intensive regimen of practice and study. It is a truly powerful tale for our youth, and we highly recommend it for all.

  • We await charges of “obsession”.
Or, we await the silence from certain commenters, and the corresponding double standard.

  • Sounds just as autobiographical as that Little T. Learns to Share book.

  • That cover illustration is the stuff of nightmares. The face is bad, but the arms are frightening too.
Also, I’ve heard that A-Rod’s book is just like David Eckstein’s book, only with 95% less grit and heart.

  • I do believe I detect some rouge on the cheeks of the batter in that illustration.

Carib or Island Carib is the collective name of a people given to them who lived in the Lesser Antilles islands, after whom the Caribbean Sea was named. They are an Amerindian people whose origins lie in the southern West Indies and the northern coast of South America.

I made the obsession comment, so maybe you’re talking to me, but I have no idea what point you’re trying to make.
