Beat the Angels: Angels-Sox Gamer III

Winning a series at home against one of the two most disappointing teams in the AL (I’m looking at you, Toronto) doesn’t seem like so much to ask. Plus their starter is Blanton who is getting rocked so far this year. If Dempster can’t beat this guy…well, I’ll be annoyed and then keep watching. Sunday morning/afternoon baseball!

  • Love it when game day tells me that the pitcher has trouble locating his pitches when he’s in the process of walking somebody on four pitches.

Dempster not good today but gets out of the bases loaded jam in the top of the third.

  • New facial hair does not slow down Jacoby who steals second and then scores on a Nava single.

And this Nava guy is really good!

    1-1.

  • This Pedoria fellow’s also pretty good. Runners on first and second for Papi.

  • 6 IP, 3 ER. Dempster. Today he has a lead (5-3) and leaves (I’m assuming) after 110 pitches.

  • Gameday just told me a pitch ahead of time that Salty’s homering here: In play, run(s).

  • This game so far is pretty much as the template indicates: Dempster is a little all over the place, but manages to keep it together well enough, and Blanton sucks ass.

  • And now the 2B, uh, somehow lets that go by. I’m sure the new reliever appreciates that.

  • Way to run your team out of the inning! Sox get a break.
