Scott says Alex hearts the Big Apple. He loves it. If he were Woody Allen he would lurve it. If he made diapers he would Luv it. He wants to stay.

Okay. Let’s all move along.

  • I love New York too, despite being born and bred in Boston. I live in the Big Apple. Have for 12 years. By choice. But despite some city-wide and national public exposure with regards to my own line of work, I still have some major insecurities about being in the spotlight, and cannot, without equivocation, say that I wouldn’t love working somewhere else as much if not more than here.
A-Rod ain’t off the hook, no matter what his agent says. Not moving on, not yet, YF. It wouldn’t be good for the blog. ;-)

  • In other news, Alex demands a trade to the Mets.
Ya, can we get enough of ARod already?

  • …arod will remain in the news, because as much as new yorkers are intrigued with their love/hate relationship with him, non-new yorkers, like those just to the northeast of ny hate him for not being on thier team, and love the tortured relationship he has with ny fans and media…it’s a win/win…

Dude, enough with this line. it’s so boring. Certainly you can do better, as has been evidenced over the past several days of your comments.

  • has a nice little story today on how many times A-Rod has said he loves his current home and isn’t going anywhere. It’s pretty interesting.

  • dc, I’m going to have to agree with SF. The noise did not originate from sox fans. If only that were the case! Like it or not, yanks fans are the ones calling for this trade.

  • In fact, I think I’ve heard several sfs (OK, I’m one of them) say they would do a Manny-ARod heads-up trade.

  • …i may be talking to different sox fans now, but when the talk was about arod coming to boston a couple of years ago, only to be swept away by the yanks when theo blinked, the outrage was deafening…i can’t pin it on the sf’s on this site, because i wasn’t with you then, but i can’t repeat in polite company some of what was said to me about the team and the player…i guess you guys have more class than some of your brethren…
    p.s. sf, i’m flattered…i think…
