New York (YFSFN), March 24th – Yankee outfielder Gary Sheffield’s endorsement deal with Burger King was terminated yesterday after Sheffield was seen violating the terms of his contract. Sheffield was spotted outside a North Tampa Golden Arches, sitting on the driver side of his SUV with a Big Mac in his left hand, a full "Super Value Meal #2" on the leather seat to his right. Confronted with video evidence of the ingestion, as well as DNA samples taken from a dirty napkin found outside the vehicle, Sheffield denied that he knew the type of hamburger he was eating, saying that "a guy he had never met before gave him the burger" and that "who was he to question what kind of burger it was, the man said it would be delicious". During a random locker search at Legends Field late yesterday afternoon, a calendar documenting the history of Sheffield’s McDonald’s visits (including a gold star on March 14th with the hand-scrawled note "Hot Damn, Shamrock Shakes!") was dismissed by the Sheffield camp as "character assassination, a frame-up job by the ‘Enemies of Sheff’ (EOS)". Sheffield’s handlers said that the lack of physical receipts — to this date none have turned up — would exonerate the superstar.
