But What About That Pedigree?!

The first Torre lackey disciple is down for the count.  I never liked his bragadoccio as a first base coach way back when.  It always looked like he thought he was the leader of the gang out there, even though his big job was to yell "back!".

The Orioles are better off, though they’d be way better off if they could get some pitching.

  • Mazzilli will always be, first and foremost, a Met. He may have worn the pinstripes, as a player (briefly) and a coach, but his heart, one suspects, was always safely moored in Queens.

  • Disowning him so quickly. How sad. I can only imagine the glowing posts by Yankees fans had he brought the Orioles glory, claiming the Torre School of Management to be the Cambridge University of the occuapation.

  • Man that’s almost as bad as when Sox fans drove the bus over Nomah, then backed up and ran over him again.
