Cashman: Andy is Dandy, But…

According to ESPN.com, Brian Cashman is open to the idea of bringing back Andy Pettitte.  "Obviously, Andy is a guy you'd like to have back."  This would all hinge on the status of Mike Mussina.  As well as any trades made by the Yankees and free agent signings.  Andy is no longer a front of the rotation guy, as we all know, but he certainly has value at the back end.  To me though it all comes down to how much AP is willing to take and for how long.  A one year deal worth 8-10 million is something I'd sign up for, anything more, anything longer I would pass.

In other news, Mike Mussina was the only Yankee to win a Gold Glove this season and the Yankees decided to decline their option on Damaso Marte

Oh yeah, cancel that order for the Jake Peavy Yankees road jersey as well.

  • That Peavy information is kind of dependent on Abraham being an actual, you know, journalist. We all know that’s an impossibility…
    /keeps fragile Peavy dreams alive.
