Youk, rolling in it. God only knows how much money Manny’s got hanging out there…
“…Red Sox utility man…”
Is that the new term for first basemen?
Evil Empire Jr, The Red Sox looking into spreading baseball brand in China
In a radio interview with Bloomberg News, Boston Red Sox executive Larry Lucchino, who once called the Yankees the “Evil Empire,” said his franchise would like to help increase baseball’s exposure in China.
“We would be happy to do that,” Lucchino told Bloomberg. “We’ll flip a coin to see who’s the home team.”
The Yankees have expressed interest in playing in the first major league game on Chinese soil. Apparently now, they might also have a possible opponent.
“I’ve been meaning to pick up the phone and call [Yankees President Randy Levine] and say ‘Randy, you pick the city, we’ll pick the time and we’ll see you there,'” Lucchino said in the report.
The “Lucifer” Lucchino’s copying the Yankees Plan by going to China as Well. How about Redsox going to another country like India or Pakistan or something like that? I hope the Redsox go away from entering my homeland China. No thanks
HOLY CRAP!!! I have a claim. I have absolutely no idea what it could be, but I will be sure to report back when I find out.
My grandfather has a claim. He’s been dead for 30 years.
hey, are we getting a game thread for DiceK vs. BC?
…what’s that? it’s the red sox vs BC? even better.
According to the Globe’s Extra Bases blog, “Johnny Ayers, BC’s punter and RF, jumped on Daisuke Matsuzaka’s first pitch and hammered an opposite-field double into the LF corner. Ryan Hutchinson tapped out in front of the plate, Ayers taking third. Jared McGuire was called out on strikes, and Peter Frates went down swinging.”
Another punter/baseball player? Look for him to play gritty somewhere in MLB by 2011, I guess.
