Well, 1-1 against the Yankees in Yankee Stadium against pitchers who aren’t Randy Johnson, including two ninth inning comebacks, a critical A-Rod error, Derek Jeter getting hit high and tight, and Mariano Rivera pitching like the elderly closer he is rapidly becoming. So it ain’t all bad, despite what it looked like with 3 outs to go (deja vu, YF!). Not a series victory for our team, and not the cleanest series played for the Bosox, but rescuing today’s game is worth something, at the very least as a bit of relief (we hope it has a positive effect on Terry). Nice win, guys. Don’t get cocky – it’s just one win.

What’s Mariano’s WHIP?
just curious……..
So beaning Jeter constitutes a positive for SF? And he has the temerity to criticize Yankee fans for classless behavior?
A new low, even for SF.
Ha. You have no sense of humor.
YF: Did you not get the “don’t get cocky” line, either?
Winning big after Terry Francona got rushed to the hospital has to make all the Sox feel good. I just hope he doesn’t have to keep being taken from the park with chest pains for the Beaners (literally, ask Derek Jeter) to “win one for the skipper.”
Yeah Beaners, you people up there could eat shit.
