We, frankly, never got the show. We’re not the right demographic. Four desperately annoying, self-absorbed social climbers amused by nothing more than their own catty cleverness. Sex and the City? Click. Another non-fan? Yogi Berra, who hit TBS with a $10 million defamation suit over an ad campaign for the show that asked readers for the definition of a “Yogasm.” Possible answers:
(A) A type of yo-yo trick
(B) Sex with Yogi Berra
(C) What Samantha has with a guy from yoga class
We love Yogi—and we all know he can hold a grudge—but let’s face it, the most offensive aspect of this would-be chuckler is that it is, like the show it advertises, spectacularly unfunny. Our suggestion to Yogi: Drop the suit and click over to BBC America. Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares. Now that’s good tv.
