Peter Abraham supplies the audio. The gyst: Drop it. Also, he hates the caps with white piping. But who doesn’t?
always classy, that captain. Just keep it in house and don’t feed the monster. Now, if he would just go inside the clubhouse and tell A-Rod to shut his mouth and leave his name out of his press conferences he holds, things might go away.
Amen DJ, Amen.
Blame Bud for the white piping, it’s a MLB thing, not a Yankee thing.
as dc would say: zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Jesus, I think I actually hate this more than the Clemens saga now, and I didn’t think that was possible.
Lockland, you’ll hate the Clemens saga more soon enough. Just give it a day. Clemens is due to update the odds of his return by the time the stock market closes today.
Especially when he notices that the media hoopla in NY and Boston isn’t revolving around him, and that nobody actually cares anymore, he’ll hold conference hinting towards a full return to, um, somewhere.
While I don’t have the link, I’m listening to EEI right now, and something has come over the waves that struck my attention:
Tomorrow night, Theo will be with Edes on NESN, where he states that the medical staff has regressed their original decision on Papelbons arm. They now say that his arm is much stronger after the rehab and is now a viable candidate to close games for the Red Sox this year. Theo, and I’m paraphrasing because I don’t have the print, says that the competition is over re: the closer situation.
I’m going to try to find the print of this, but since it’s not aired yet, I don’t know if it’s out there.
If this is true, and they announce it later today, the Red Sox are considerably better than they were an hour ago. Now, the bullpen is not the question that it was. My guess is that Lester or Tavarez takes that last spot.
EEI seems to know this for fact, and it’s going to be announced later this afternoon by Theo and Tito.
I’m happy. Really, really happy.
brad, I’m going to post something. Are you 100% sure you hearing correctly?
at the thought of this happening anyhow, not by the rumor that it still is.
yeah. I posted the link to it. It’s all their talking about now.
Here’s the free EEI link if anyone wants to listen to it, but it’s absolutely what they’re saying.
thanks, Brad, I put up a post which I keep on updating.
If that’s the case, now the Sox don’t have a hole. Well, their middle relief is still abysmal, but at least they have a strong anchor who can go out and give two spectacular innings. Bad news for Yankee fans everywhere.
Well, their middle relief is still abysmal
“abysmal” might be an overstatement.
