Early Detente

Labor peace, tentatively, for at least five more years, done without any media scrutiny or blowhard spokespeople bloviating about greed and unfairness.  A miracle.

  • …then i’ll do the bloviating sf, because in the meantime, teams are raising ticket prices to another all time high, and i can’t watch my yankees [out of market] without paying a ridiculous amount of $ to my satellite provider each season…here’s a few more reasons why mlb players [the masters of greed] don’t need to strike:
    In the year 2005, the average salary was $2,476,589.
    The minimum salary for the 2006 season is $327,000.
    Retired baseball players have generated six-figure incomes from their pensions since the late 1980s.
