This is really cool. As a newspaper collector, I’m a fan of the simplicity of 1941 and 1949, myself.
Although someone should tell the DN that the vast majority — all but two or three, by my count — of those are actually front pages, and one of them is just a random picture.
This is the kind of reflectiveness and nostalgia that I’d expect to see on the morning *after* a World Series victory, not on the day of game six. Looks like somebody might think this thing is already wrapped up.
