More from both SF and myself on our roadtrip to Fenway in the next day or so, but for the moment, I thought I’d post what was certainly the exchange of the weekend.
Setting: Parking garage elevator after the Red Sox bullpen collapse in Game 1. SF is looking at his iPhone.
Man: That one of those new phones?
SF: Yup.
Man: All it’s cracked up to be?
SF: (pause) It can’t pitch in relief.
Did you just get your iPhone? Because I’d hate to be one of those people who got them when it first got out only for the price to go down 200 bucks.
That’s frickin hilarious.
*slow clap*
Great response. Hire SF for those MLB/October commercials!
And why is MLB’s postseason site “actober.com”? Please tell me it’s something other than: “October.com was taken, and ‘Actober’ is kind of pronounced like ‘October’…”
“Hire SF for those MLB/October commercials!”
Hell, pitch it to Apple as a commercial to run during the playoffs.
MLB’s official postseason site is http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/news/octoberquest_07.jsp — not anything with “actober” in it.
