We often pay too much attention to the big papers — the Globe, the Herald — these are the media goliaths who report on our beloved BoSox. But every so often it’s good to look around, and the web has given us access to small town newspapers who cover stories with sincerity and hardscrabble reporting. Today we get a bombshell sure to knock the socks off many a Yanks fan (and perhaps even some Sox fans): the Brockton Enterprise reports that yes, Sox fans are optimistic. That, for the most part, they have confidence in their team. And that they think the Sox can go far. One of them, Jesse Welch, says he thinks, every year, that the boys from Boston will win the World Series. As Welch says, "you’ve got to have faith".
