Good enough for me and Bobby V.
Edes says Bobby V to helm the Sox.
That’s funny right there Gerb! I for one am happy with Bobby V, should be interesting and I think he is smart enough baseball wise and had a strong enough personality for Boston. Looks like Larry got his man!
Hopefully Larry will let Ben sign at least one free agent this off season though, just so he has it on his resume
I can’t stand Bobby Valentine, at least as a broadcaster. Thankfully as a skipper he won’t be talking incessantly.

Yes he will, you just won’t have to hear him!
I am a contrarian on this one, I like the hiring. V is supposedly game-smart and independent. I couldn’t stomach the idea of a Lamont-type coming in following Tito, and Valentine is exactly not that. He is stat-aware, and I am a rare fan who actually has some trust in Larry Lucchino.
I think it’s a solid hire. Bobby V’s act wears thin super fast by all accounts, so this isn’t a long term hiring, but in short spurts his message and style can be very successful. Heck any manager that can get the Mets (with that lineup) to a World Series has to be some kind of good :) Seriously though with the veterans this team has it will be a good fit.
now i have that song in my head! i’m going to be optimistic about this. yes, i am.
