Feeling Randy: Subway Series Gamer II

As YF prepares for the  conference this morning, I am left again with the gamer posting responsibilities.  The theme today is the pitching match-up because god knows both of these teams ain’t hitting.  Randy Johnson has done quite well in June. Steve Trachsel has won his last 5 starts.  Both are scheduled to pitch today’s Fox game of the week. I expect angry comments about McCarver and Buck starting now…

  • After a terriblef first for Randy, he gets thru the second with 5 pitches. Maybe if he can face the bottom of the Mets’ order for the rest of the day he’ll be fine.
Meanwhile, we seem to be able to hit Steve Trachsel but we don’t seem to be able to play baseball against S. Trachsel.

  • Giambi walked after two singles from Damon and Jeter. Loaded, no outs, for A Rod.

  • Bases loaded 0 outs against Steve Trachsel = 2 runs. Better than 1 but f#$k!

  • Chris Woodward works an 8 pitch one out walk to load the bases off of Johnson.
    My God!

  • Then he gives up the ghost to Ramon Castro. You might remember Ramon as being the greatest living hitting catcher in the history of the game.

  • Wait a minute…was Walein suggesting that Arod’s 1st inning SINGLE in the FIRST inning with the bases loaded that drove in ONE run was clutch?!? Is that desperation or facetiousness?
