There’s no way we’re giving YF the last (and poorly constructed) words on yesterday’s amazing happenings.  From the beaming sunshine to the beaming smiles on hundreds of thousands of long-suffering fans’ faces, the day couldn’t have gone any better.  As a nation of fans, we’re proud of how the team conducted the festivities, of how their gracious opponents smiled and applauded the (at least in our lifetime) unprecedented accomplishments of our team.  We’re also proud of how they went out and thumped their (for the day) classy opponents later in the afternoon.  When and if the positions of these two great rivals are reversed, we’re pretty sure we won’t be in the business of trying to tear down ring ceremonies just because they aren’t ours.  Every day we are proud to be Red Sox fans, to have had to bear the painful moments of seasons past in order to gain the perspective to understand what yesterday meant. Today we are overjoyed to be a paltry 1 for 86.

  • Personaly as a Yankees fan I think Wakefield should retire after yesterdays game. What better way for him to go out. LOL And as much as it bothers me to say this it was a good ceramony.
