Having won the season series against the Rays yesterday (it stands at 10-4, over and out), the Sox will try to make sure they have a division lead when this four-game set ends. A win today guarantees they will be, at worst, 1.5 ahead at the end of the series (which is where they stood when the series started, and where they stand as of this morning).
The matchup is Price vs. Doubront, which is much more competitive-sounding at this time than it would have seemed at season’s beginning…but Price is rejuvenated since coming back from the DL (he’s thrown two complete games in July, against the Astros and White Sox), so it probably swings TB’s way. But it will probably be a good fight, either way. Comment away!
