Friday Night Family Dinner: Yanks-O’s, Jays-Sox Gamers

Phil Hughes tries to keep the ball inside of Camden Yards, while Felix Doubront and the Sox host the Jays. I’m working late, so gotta do it family-style. Comment away.

  • Does A-Rod ever, ever, ever come up big anymore?!?!?!!? That was horrible.

  • Martin crushed that and knew it. That’s how you do it Alex. Martin has been hot these past couple weeks for literally the first time all season.

  • Pearce knocks it out!!!! 5-0 good guys. Please Phil, don’t freaking implode. We NEED this one!

  • That felt huge. Seems like we never hold a lead for more than a half inning – on the rare occasion that we get a lead. Hughes put em down in order. To the 5th.

  • I take that back A-Rod. Nice 2-run bomb. Until the next time you K with RISP that is…If they somehow blow this 7-0 lead I will get physically ill.

  • When did the O’s lineup transform into Murderers Row? Seriously. This is ridiculous. 7-4 now in the 7th.

  • And Logan does a great job. Please add to this lead. I don’t know who’s going to get us through the 8th after Robertson was turned into a pinata last night…

  • HOLY SHIT! WE WON!

I didn’t watch but they lost MANY games when I didn’t watch so it’s not my fault.

I could have watched if Delta wouldn’t have gotten me home 3 hours late.

    Sigh.

  • Tex back tonight.

    CC on the mound.

This series is a playoff dry run basically.

    No fucking excuses.

  • Severe weather in Baltimore today…double header tomorrow or a 11pm EST start?

  • Tornado warnings here until 9pm – at least hail and major winds expected so it’s good they’re not in the Bronx. Not sure what it’s looking like in Baltimore. CC has blown leads in his last two starts (vs. TB and Baltimore no less). Olney wrote an article about how something seems wrong with him since his DL stint. No idea if that’s true but he certainly hasn’t looked his usual late-season-dominant self. We sure could use a vintage CC outing tonight.
