Roger Clemens looks to rebound from his worst outing of the season as New York hosts Toronto and Shaun Marcum. Clemens gave up five runs against Tampa Bay last Friday; he has not faced his former team since an interleague game in 2005. Shaun Marcum throws for Toronto. The Yankees faced Marcum May 29th, managing only two hits off the the right-hander. Lineups follow. Comment away.

K to start things off, but a trip to Rios and a single to Glaus and we’re down in the first. Ugh.
Four hits off the Rocket over three innings, but he seems to be working out of the jams OK. Let’s get him some runs here!!!

There we go Robby! Way to get the lead-off man on base!
Yanks managed to finally get to Marcum. Had Damon at third and Jeter on 1st. Abreau pops out and then ARod GIDP.
Clemens is giving up at least two hits an inning. Thankfully for the Yanks the Jays have not managed to take advantage of it and make him pay.
ARod with a great stroke to left for a double.
ALEX!!!!!!!!! 2-1 Yanks coming from behind again after squirming out of trouble all game.
Matsui follows with a single, Alex held. Still 0 out.
Hey, like clockwork, the YFs show up when the lead arrives.
Jorge ks on the 3-2 curve. Robi up. Last night Downs k’ed him with 6 straight curves.
Or when our sons fall asleep.
Robi walks on a fastball. Crazy.
Robi not swinging. That must be Bizarro Robi, not our Robi.
Loaded for Phillips. In comes Brandon League. Best name in the game.
AP singles thru the left side! AP cannot be stopped! Alex and Matsui score! 4-1.
Wow, what a catch by Johnson there, robbing Melky of a double.
Reed Johnson brilliant play over his shoulder on a first pitch scorched by Melky.
Damon out 6-4fc to end things.
going to have to disagree there, YF.
Yuniesky Betancourt is the best name in the game.
back to my paper
Rivera making an early appearance.
Rios down swinging. Huge.
Jorge adds some insurance.
Now Robi with a little more; 6-1 Yanks.
winning is so much more fun than losing
I disagree with both of you: that pitcher named “Balfour” has the best name in the game!
Winning IS better! Only 6 out of the WC, 7 back of the Sox, who seem to have a .44 Magnum aimed directly at their collective foot.
Still, needing Mo to get the last five outs with a five-run doesn’t exactly inspire confidence in the bullpen. Brian, how are the “Get rid of Krazy Kyle” discussions going?
Rivera has now pitched in 4 out of the last 5 games. At this rate, he’ll be injured by mid-August.
The Yankees seriously need a real bullpen arm, or they’re simply going to be toast. No matter how much their luck makes up for itself for the first half.
Just got back from the game. Damn ARod for padding his stats in a 5 run game.. =P
