Good column in the Times

Good column in the Times by Jack Curry today, detailing Frank Thomas’ whining about the Yankees being able to spend money to win. It serves a dual purpose: it reveals Thomas to be a complete dolt, with regards to how the pennant races have shaken out this year (uh, Frank. the Twins went on a roll and your White Sox folded, nothing in that was related to the team bank accounts), and at the same time it shows that even the Yankees players think they enjoy a tremendous advantage because of their large payroll (scan for Jeter’s smart observations). http://www.nytimes.com/2003/09/23/sports/baseball/23baseball.html
