Good Medicine

Forget the baseball implications, this, if eventually confirmed, is simply great news.  Here’s hoping Jon Lester continues what seems to be a swift recovery.

  • That’s the best news I’ve heard all day. I had totally written him off for next year, but maybe that’s not the case.

  • Maybe it was those magical Yankee flowers that were sent.

  • From Francona himself.
This is absolutely the greatest Red Sox news I’ve heard this year. Congratulations to Lester for fighting a monster and winning.

  • Well, there’s still a long road ahead for the kid, but it’s definitely very good news. It’s wonderful just to hear that he’s doing well and is even thinking about spring training at this point. Pretty darn cool.

  • Fantastic! Good for him.
    I hope he’s 100% healthy but suddenly sucks as a pitcher ;)

  • Heh, Rob. Kinda like when I hoped Matsui would come back healthy sooner than anticipated, but would’ve forgotten how to hit. :)
