Heartache Tonight: Sox-Tribe Gamer I

Boston scores a lot of runs. Texas scores more, and last night’s 10-9 loss by Boston encapsulates the frustration faced by Boston, whose 551 runs are a Major-Leagues second best but what have resulted in a losing record and a fourth-slot in the AL East. Cleveland finally won a game — against the Twins — after dropping 11 straight. Tonight, Felix Doubront is at the Jake for Beantown, while Ubaldo Jimenez gets the start for the Tribe. Johnny Damon, who was DFA’d last Friday, was given his release by Cleveland.
