Hello, Old Friends: ChiSox-Sox Gamer I

It’s a reunion of sorts, with the Kevin Youkilis visiting his old digs for the first time since his donning of the PaleSox getup, and Carl Crawford in Fenway for the first time this year. Aaron Brooks gets the start for Boston while Dylan Axelrod rocks out for the visitors. Comment away.

p.s., thanks to pbe for the save

  • Gerb, we really do appreciate your efforts to keep this site going. So I feel kinda bad about having to point out that the reunion actually will take place at Fenway and unless Ben Cherington has unearthed some phenom we have not heard of before, it’ll be Aaron Cook getting the win, eh, start for the Red Sox..

The name Dylan Axelrod rocks indeed … But can he pitch?

  • You know, I indeed had this written up at Fenway (and it made a better story!) and then changed it because I misread a sheet. I’ll change it back.

  • Crawford singles, eventually scores first Red Sox run to tie game. Dass nice.

  • Watched Youk return via rewinding MLB.TV. Only two people in the dugout that I saw were steadfastly clapping for Youk near the end of the ovation: Josh Beckett and Jon Lester.

  • AGonz with a big homer to take the lead. Ortiz injures himself rounding second… knee? Or just a cramp?

  • Eppley cannot get it done…have to burn Sori with a 4 run lead in the 9th.
