Hello Cleveland!

On the road and facing the surprising Indians.  Let’s hope the Sox don’t get lost wandering around the basement this week.

  • Lets hope ManRam and the big bats in the heart of the lineup have big electric style weeks. Also, it would be nice to have yet another huge start from the fat man.

  • Prepare to smell Sabathia’s glove.

  • Doubt it…they’ve hit him hard before, and hopefully, they hit him hard again. I’d say the same for Yankees, but you know, the Rays aren’t likely to pull the same big broom act they did before.

  • Wells v. Sabathia. Talk about big bottom pitchers.

  • hahaha..The ganster vs. the, well, gangster. Let’s hope the one with his hat on crooked looses to the one with the unbuttoned shirt. It’s too funny.
PS – Clement for all star game! Get to voting Sox fans!
Yankee fans should not hate – this is a great success story that needs to be rewarded. Since his manager is coaching the team, he obviously going to go, but he shouls have the votes to back it up. Get to it!

  • Sorry Brad, but you can’t vote for pitchers on the All-Star ballot. Otherwise I would of. But since we can’t vote for Clem, please vote for Johnny D everyone. he deserves to be an All-Star as much as, if not more than, Manny, Ichiro, and Vlady. At least going by this season.

  • Thanks Laura, but I was more talking about getting things started on this site – not the real balloting. I should have been more clear on that. Sometimes, it’s fun to see what everyone has to say such a clear cut issue. Like for instance, I did vote for Jeter on the ballot out of respect, but I was wondering how many YF’s would try to explain why Clement doesn’t deserve to go.

  • Since Joe Torre isn’t the AL’s manager this year there isn’t much that anyone can do to prevent Clement and probably Timlin from making the team. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if as many as seven Red Sox (Manny, Trot, Jason, Timlin, Clement, Johnny D and Ortiz) make the team this year.
If I were Francona I’d put Wakefield on the team too, just to spite Torre who has consistantly put more Yankees on the AS team than deserve to go. Actually, what would really be funny is if the only Yankee that Francona picks is actually Torre himself.

  • Yeah I agree, but I actually think Clement and Timlin deserve to go on merit. I totally agree that Torre has always taken his team, but he gets a pass there because, you know, most of his players werer all-stars on different teams the year before.
