Doug Fister has a 1.84 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP to go with is .230 BAA, yet is 0-2 in his five outings. The lanky right-hander gets the start for the Tigers, while the Sox send Felix Doubront to kick off the first of four against Les Tigres at Fenway. Comment away.

Let me just say that for the past 15 or so minutes, everything you could want has gone right for the Red Sox.
Aviles should have been struck out for out #3, but the first base umpire overruled saying the ball hit the dirt (replay shows clearly not true). Red Sox score three runs subsequently.
Now the XBH leadoff hit for the tiger in the 3rd turns into an out after the runner overslides 2nd.
aaand Salty homers. 5-1. Dass koo.
Laird over the fence in left, got just high enough, with 2 out and none on. 5-2.
Pedroier out of the game, not sure what the deal is…goddamit.
Well, 5-2, runners at corners, none out for Boston in 6th.
The three would-be nonexistent runs are the difference in the game as it ends 7-4 Sox (after Aceves gave up another 2-run blast in the 9th).
And to go over .500…Verlander stands in the way.
Shit.
*grins anyway*
Pete Abraham sez Sox say it’s not bad.
