In Case You Missed It, Redux

The top shot isn’t nearly as snappy as the wonderfully composed one YF posted earlier, but we couldn’t help but remember a similarity to another photo in our vault, an absolute classic. Both of these pictures (as well as the one of Jeets) tell a similarly articulate story.  You just know what happened.

After the jump, the doppelganger.

  • Never post that picture again, SF! Never!
We had a rough day in right field yesterday, huh?

  • I’ve said it before about Ortiz, but I feel like it always looks like he’s just hit a homer after he’s swung. Still, great pictures, and a great post about the forms of baseball playing.

  • Wily Mo Pena needs one of those sensors like they have on new cars, which tells you when you’re backing up that you’re about to hit something.
(I almost feel sorry for him, looking at that picture. Also, apparently he is so dense that he didn’t realize the loud cheers when he later caught a fly ball were sarcastic, and thought that the fans really were rooting for him. Kind of sad, if it weren’t so maddening… Made doubly maddening by the loss of Bronson.)
