  • We are uderway . . .

    AlexD October 15, 2010, 8:11 pm
  • Make that UNDERway

    AlexD October 15, 2010, 8:11 pm
  • Come on, CC!

    AlexD October 15, 2010, 8:18 pm
  • Gonna be a long night . . .

    AlexD October 15, 2010, 8:19 pm
  • Holy hell! Generous strike zone to C.J. Wilson and C.C. is getting squeezed like mad.

    DustyDrB - YF October 15, 2010, 8:19 pm
  • As I said . . .

    AlexD October 15, 2010, 8:21 pm
  • I was wondering how all that rest was gonna affect us…

    DustyDrB - YF October 15, 2010, 8:21 pm
  • These announcers better shut the hell up about CC not having control. He threw strike 1, 2, and 3 to Young and somehow was at 3 and 0 after those pitches. If the ump is going to take the strike zone away then this happens. God, I’m pissed right now. So should CC be.

    DustyDrB - YF October 15, 2010, 8:24 pm
  • Man, do we need a double play . . .

    AlexD October 15, 2010, 8:28 pm
  • Barely get comfortable and it’s 3-0. Ugly.

  • When I’m pissed about the game, the last thing I want to see is this dude and his ridiculous suits and 8 year old boy haircut.

    DustyDrB - YF October 15, 2010, 8:33 pm
  • Nice! A little luck never hurts . . .

    AlexD October 15, 2010, 8:34 pm
  • OK – time to come back.

    AlexD October 15, 2010, 8:49 pm
  • Nice throw Jorge. Man is his arm awful. And now CC balks him to 3rd. Sickening

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 9:09 pm
  • WTF?

    AlexD October 15, 2010, 9:09 pm
  • Are these damn announcers praying for the Yankees to screw up???

    AlexD October 15, 2010, 9:25 pm
  • crappy BABIP luck on that Jorge out. Yanks are getting on base but not getting over or getting in…hmmm

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 9:25 pm
  • I’m outta here.

    AlexD October 15, 2010, 9:38 pm
  • So now we know we should have lost two games to Minnesota just so we wouldn’t be so damn rusty for this game.
At least that’s how I’m making myself feel better tonight.

    DustyDrB - YF October 15, 2010, 9:39 pm
  • Horrible error by A-Rod. They look more than flat. They’re concave. Or something.

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 10:21 pm
  • Dustin Moseley with the most dominating pitching performance of the night. For the Yankees that is…

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 10:23 pm
  • Cano registers a Yankee heartbeat by curling one around the foul pole. 5-1.

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 10:28 pm
  • Jorge + Slider = swing + miss.

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 10:30 pm
  • Brett Gardner is a gamer. I love that guy.

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 10:46 pm
  • Yankees are twitching. 5-2, no outs in the 8th, Jeter on second. With Feliz waiting in the wings, the Yanks needs the meat of their order to produce right now.

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 10:48 pm
  • Swisher works a walk. No outs, two on, and our 3-4-5 hitters up. If we don’t score at least two here say good night.

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 10:55 pm
  • Bases loaded, no outs, A-Rod up. He has had a HORRIBLE night at the plate and in the field. He’s the go ahead run now as hard as that is to believe. I don’t think it is an exageration to say not only this game, but this series may ride on what happens in the next 3 at-bats.

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 10:59 pm
  • A-Rod shuts up much of this crowd by jumping on the first pitch – 2-rbi single. No outs. Don’t leave the tying run on base with Feliz waiting for you guys – come on!!!

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 11:01 pm
  • Cano – ties it!!!!! A-Rod on thirs with one out. There’s your REAL MVP Texas!!!!!!!

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 11:04 pm
  • We must get that run in from third with no outs.

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 11:08 pm
  • Yanks take the lead. No outs still. I can’t believe whathas happened this inning. This is astonishing.

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 11:11 pm
  • No outs, two men on, Posada up. Keep it moving along Jorge.

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 11:12 pm
  • If the Yanks pull this game off, Dustin Moseley will deserve a hell of a lot of credit, but will likely be forgotten in the euphoria over the offense’s performance in this one inning.
But still lots of baseball to play and they’re only up by one…

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 11:14 pm
  • Jorge with the LONG fly ball. Cano to third with one out. That’s a huge insurance run for Curtis to try to knock in.

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 11:15 pm
  • Got to tip your cap to these fans, who are actually rowdy as hell cheeing for the K or DP. Lots of parks would be deathly silent after what’s happened so far here. An Grandy lays off a great tough pitch. 3-2…

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 11:17 pm
  • I’m so proud of my fellow Holly Hillian. Way to rep Camden Road, Brett!

    DustyDrB - YF October 15, 2010, 11:19 pm
  • Well it hurts to leave that runner on third when there was only one out and the Rangers’ scary offense still has two innings to make that up, but you can’t be down on anything after that inning. Kerry Wood takes the mound. Hope this is the Dr. Jekyll Wood and not the Mr. Hyde one.

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 11:23 pm
  • Wood with three straight balls to the speedy Kinsler. This is not the way to start.

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 11:24 pm
  • Walks Kinsler on 4 freaking pitches. He will be stealing second and very likely will steal third. Wood needs to throw strikes now. And instead, another freaking ball.

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 11:25 pm
  • Wood lucks out on that trike call. 1-1.

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 11:25 pm
  • Damn it Wood. 2-1. THROW STRIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 11:26 pm
  • And he picks Kinsler off!!!!! Nice job with the aggressive base running Ron Washington! I love it! That was massive. Now if Wood could actually throw a strike, we might be in business.

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 11:26 pm
  • 2 away. The first 2 hours of this game were so depressing. The last 30 minutes – not so much. One more out to Mo…

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 11:30 pm
  • Wood Ks Borbon and the announcers can barely hide their disappointment.

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 11:33 pm
  • Really wished we got an insurance run there. But now it’s postseason Mo time.l

    Lar October 15, 2010, 11:57 pm
  • That was a superb at bat by Michael Young – a player I really like, but Mo bests him and then gets Josh not-the-MVP Hamilton to end a stunning game. That was one of the Yankees’ best come backs of the year and it came in the biggest game of the year (so far). Unreal.

    IronHorse (YF) October 15, 2010, 11:58 pm
  • IH – ya, Young definitely made me sweat that time. Always had respect for him, even with Mo on the mound!

    Lar October 16, 2010, 12:02 am
  • Do you believe in miracles?

    krueg October 16, 2010, 12:04 am
  • I take it you were watching the game in a bar, krueg?
It was frustrating as hell at the start! I’m still mad about that first inning strike zone. It evened out later in the game but it was brutal in the beginning. CC was forced to throw pitches right down the damn middle of the plate.

    DustyDrB - YF October 16, 2010, 12:19 am
  • i missed the 1st inning…turned it on when we were down 3-0…yeah, here we go again with the strike zone…what struck me was the fact that mo had michael young struck out on that check swing…if you want to give him the benefit of doubt on the check, ok, but the pitch was a freakin’ strike…not one whine about it from the tbs guys or espn…imagine the outrage if it was the other way around…oh well, young stuck out anyway, and we won…sweeeeet

    dc October 16, 2010, 12:35 am
  • I was catching hell…until the 8th. :)
The haters were SO pissed. It was fucking awesome. But the icing on the cake??? When I played Sinatra on the Jukebox after the game! Take that rednecks!!! Cardinals, Cubs and Sox fans were miserable.

    krueg October 16, 2010, 12:53 am
  • “…played Sinatra on the Jukebox …”
hahaha…i did that after last year’s series win…funny shit…i wonder if my “rays fan” friends will show up today…prob depends on what happens with today’s game…they’ll show up for the gator game to jack me if the yanks lose…oh well

    dc October 16, 2010, 8:05 am
  • Holy shit – they won that game! I should have stayed up . . .

    AlexD October 16, 2010, 8:26 am
  • It sucks that you can’t just go out and enjoy the game but haters are everywhere…and they are bitter and miserable people that deserve a beating, but I’m getting too old for that so I find psychological warfare works even better.

    krueg October 16, 2010, 10:20 am
  • “…psychological warfare works even better…”
oh yeah…and it’s actually better not to engage…other than an occasional smug smile…makes ’em nuts when you just nod your head in mock agreement about yankees spending, the short right field in nys, jeter’s washed up, and other sundry insults…but i make sure they know i’m laughing at them, not with them…works every time…if you let them think they got under your skin, they win…

    dc October 16, 2010, 10:45 am
  • That’s the rub bro.

    krueg October 16, 2010, 11:44 am
  • I got to watch innings 7-9. Nice bit of timing, that.
