  • Pretend ace meeting was Friday. Real ace meeting is tonight.

  • Yesterday was my birthday: I seem to remember sort of a poor track record on June 1st Red Sox games, but yesterday was a gift from baseball big-time. Of course, I couldn’t watch it live ’cause no cable/national TV. And ESPN recently walled off some of their content, so screwed tonight too. Eff you, MLB.

  • Hope it was a good one all around, Devine. And I get you on the walled content thing.

  • Will it rain? Will it say reasonably dry?

  • Dan Schulman just informed us that Pedroia is healthier now than he’s was last season. Does Schulman do his homework? Oh, that’s right. It’s ESPN.

  • What’s everyone drinking?
I’m drinking a Great Lakes Brewing Commodore Perry Don’t Give Up the Sip EIPA.

  • Ortiz homers to RF. That was no Yankee Stadium short porch cheap-o, either.

  • IBM, last night it was a single lemonade and vodka followed by a single Applejack (sp?) and Coke. I’m a lightweight, so I was pretty tipsy. It was a good night.

  • If they start this game on time, we’re probably in the 8th inning, but the preemptive rain delay that didn’t actually exist is now holding the game up). Papi loses that homer if they call the game (which juuuuuuust recently became official). Whatever. Open up and stay open, skies. Because Buchholz isn’t going back out there if the delay is long anyway.

  • Rain is the best thing that could happen for the Yankees at this moment.

  • IBM: I had an Elysian Brewing Immortal IPA, and then a Double Mountain IRA

  • Oh, SoSH is saying maybe he doesn’t lose the homer. And is in argument over whether this game will start again or not. Shit. At least I’m not on Eastern time right now.

Oh it sounds like they’re pulling the tarp? Maybe the starters can stay in?

    Devine June 2, 2013, 11:23 pm

  • THANK GOODNESS THEY GOT THOSE TWO OUTS IN! CALL IT!!!

    Devine June 2, 2013, 11:29 pm
  • Okay, maybe not the best thing. Game called, Sox win 3-0, all stats count.

  • Then again, it keeps the Yankees from burning a reliever while they keep not hitting.
