It’s Wang versus Cabrera.

This is your thread for comment. Go Yanks!

  • Wanger’s gonna have to throw a shutout in order for the Yanks to win. And that still may not be enough… :(

  • Working late tonight.. can’t watch the game, can’t watch the draft.. grr. Hey, the Yanks are leading. That feels novel.

  • The Orioles may have won the first two games, but when Andy Phillips might be the one who beats you that says it all about your team: you suck.

  • 3 comments on this thread (that’s one for each DP the Os have hit into), & 180 on CamdenChat. And they have to root for guys like Jay Gibbons and Melvin Mora, and hope for The Return of Davey Johnson
C’mon Yanks fans, life isn’t THAT bad.

  • Abreau’s with the nights version of Right Field Follies, misplays a hit by Millar who knocks in Markakis and Millar pulls into third with a triple.
    4-3 Yanks.

    Rob June 28, 2007, 9:04 pm
  • rbi triple for Millar 4-3 no outs

    TJ June 28, 2007, 9:05 pm

  • jim shakes the sf tree and out come the wolves. o’s 5-4 on a gibbons two run double.

    sf rod June 28, 2007, 9:11 pm
  • Gibbons with a shot to shot to left center gap that plates two runs. Throw from the outfield just a tad late. A little better throw/relay and Mora may have been nailed at home.
    Yanks down 5-4

    Rob June 28, 2007, 9:12 pm
  • Rod…pack of wild Dingo’s perhaps.

    Rob June 28, 2007, 9:12 pm

    TJ June 28, 2007, 9:21 pm
  • I do TJ, i think he is doing all of this to pay us back for trading him.

    Rob June 28, 2007, 9:23 pm
  • Is it raining?

    TJ June 28, 2007, 9:27 pm
  • There is a rain delay, just as they covered the infield the rain stopped. Should restart soon.

    Rob June 28, 2007, 9:30 pm
  • Boy you Sox fans are loving life these days huh?

    John - YF (Trisk) June 28, 2007, 9:38 pm
  • Trisk
Kind of mixed emotions. You hope this continues, but deep down there is this small fear something bad may happen.
Like being the little skinny kid who pegs the big fattey in the head playing dodgeball and you turn your back to him.

  • I got ornery after listening to scratchy reception of Suzzzyyyyn whilst dropping off & picking up my daughter.
Now the O’s bullpen tries to protect a lead, time for the real fun to begin.
O’s should just put their starters on a Dice-K training regimen and let ‘em throw 150 pitches.
Boy I love Camden Yards, can’t wait for my August and September road trips down there.

Jim in CT SF June 28, 2007, 9:47 pm
  • Parrish totally unable to find the strike zone.

Jim in CT SF June 28, 2007, 9:52 pm
  • Looks like the O’s are trying their hand at a meltdown.

    Rob June 28, 2007, 9:53 pm
  • Yanks down by 1

    Rob June 28, 2007, 9:54 pm
  • Parrish with the deer-in-the-headlights look.
Melky asking Bowa, “can I just crush the next one he grooves?”

Jim in CT SF June 28, 2007, 9:55 pm
  • Tie game…Yanks fan rejoice across the nation.

    Rob June 28, 2007, 9:56 pm
  • Haven’t watched much of the game, was watching the draft. Boy oh boy Isiah robbed the Blazers, Maui Wowie!
    Pouring again, 1st and 3rd 2 down.

    John - YF (Trisk) June 28, 2007, 10:01 pm
  • i blame the umps here. they surely should have called this game after the seventh.

    sf rod June 28, 2007, 10:03 pm
  • Ladies and Gentlemen, your captain!

    John - YF (Trisk) June 28, 2007, 10:03 pm
  • Jeter with a 2 run single…Yanks on top.

    Rob June 28, 2007, 10:03 pm
  • Delays again…

    Rob June 28, 2007, 10:05 pm
  • correct me if it continues raining and its called it goes backl to the last full inning complete yes??

    TJ June 28, 2007, 10:13 pm
  • No…if the game cannot be completed it will be suspended until the game can be resumed.

    Rob June 28, 2007, 10:21 pm
  • darn :(

    TJ June 28, 2007, 10:24 pm
  • Mora and the O’s totally frosted because the umps didn’t suspend the game during Jeter’s AB (it was POURING when he got the hit). Chris Ray doing his best Yankee-meltdown act. Comment on Camden Chat shows O’s 0-10 when Ray comes in in the 8th.
If I’m not mistaken, if they can’t resume tonight the game is suspended, and picks up mid-Yankee rally with score 8-6.

Jim in CT SF June 28, 2007, 10:24 pm
  • Craig Biggio has made it an historic day for MLB. On the same day Frank Thomas smacked his 500th HR, Biggio collected his 3000th hit.

    TJ June 28, 2007, 10:55 pm
  • Hey, we didn’t lose…yet. :/
Friday’s Times article seems to indicate that the Yanks will stand pat and not make any big moves at the trade deadline. Suits me just fine.

    nettles-yf June 29, 2007, 2:32 am
  • Can someone explain to me the rules regarding suspension? I thought that if a game was 5 innings complete, it was official in the event the game had to be stopped. Clearly, that’s not the case here.
And if a game is less than five innings complete and has to be stopped, everything accomplished up to that point is completely thrown out; why not resume those games, too?
