Well, there goes 2011, unless the injury is incredibly minor. Now we are just left to hope that Lester isn’t injured to the point where more than just 2011 is compromised.
Beckett and four others is the rotation. Unbelievable and horribly frustrating. Thank God the Bruins took the edge off.

Crazy play to end the game. Looked like Paps had blown it, but McDonald throws ’em out at the plate. Looks like it was a blown call by the ump, but we’ll take it. Great block by Tek.

Tito offers little on Lester during post-game news conference.
Our rotation for the next 2-3 weeks:
Beckett, Miller, Wakefield, Lackey, Aceves/Weiland until Buchholz returns.
Tonight might very well prove to be the end of the season for the Sox.

Lester says he doesn’t think it will be a long-tmer issue. Says he thinks he avoided more serious injury by coming out when he did. He’s hopeful that with all-star break he’ll miss just one start.
We’ll see.
