great headline, great picture, great player

The only part of this picture that’s funny to me is the fact that Cano had a very makable catch on the ball – but ego-man couldn’t possibly let another player on the infield make some kind of decent play. It’s kinda like taking 5 or 6 steps before diving into the stands on a foul ball caught 15 feet from the wall. But, who counted?

What’s the part of the picture that’s not funny to you? Brad, you’re better than this. Don’t be so petty and wrong. Do you really believe that Jeter risked injury to steal a catch from Cano? Do you really think that when Jeter went face first in the stands against the Sox he did so to fulfill an ego-trip? Brad, you usually write smart posts here. I guess irrational hatred of a good player can lead people to stop making sense.

The only lead that counts is 4.5 games. Let’s keep our eyes on the ball.
Brad-SF, it seems to me both Jeter and Cano had a bead on the ball.
Of course I’ll leave it to the Sox fans use it as an opportunity to rip Jeter.

to clarify, I posted that unnamed comment between Brad and Clay’s. For accountability purposes…

It was just a good natured poke at you guys – don’t be so frazzled. I’ve written many good things about Jeter on this site, and figured you would know I was only joking around. No harm intended.

Jeez, talk about Sox-fixated. The Orioles are the team the Yankees should be chasing, not the Sox. And the team the Sox have to worry about is actually the Sox, not the Yankees or the Orioles.

I would say the Sox have more to worry about than just there very bad play. As Johnny Damon said they suck. And everyone else has gotten much better. SF I hope you are right and the Sox are thinking this way it will make for a long season for RSN. And as far as focusing on the Sox you set your eye on the target in front of you and once you conquer that target you go after the next one. Just so happens the Sox are in the way for now.
