Joe Torre: NSFW

Back in the day, he wasn’t always such a restrained presence. (Most incredible, given the quick triggers of today: he does not appear to have been ejected.) Anyway, where exactly was effin’ Dusty?

Hat tip to Deadspin for the reference.

  • Gah…the video’s gone, says my computer, because the MLB didn’t like it being out there. If this is so, can I get a description of these actions that were so unrestrained?

  • Basically, it was Joe running out on the field and tearing the officiating crew a new A about a play at third base. (Something about whether his guy made it around third before a wall broke as fans reached for a ball, causing some confusion with the play. I think.)
Regardless, he was mic’d up — and if I remember correctly, he dropped about 24 “bullsh*ts”, 17 eff-bombs, and even managed to slip in 6-8 “c*cksuckers”. Very entertaining.

  • I believe it was Bob Horner who was headed home for the Braves, and Dusty Baker in left field coming to make the play when the interference transpired, this prompting the classic line, “Where was f^ckin’ Dusty?!”

  • It’s too bad it won’t be seen by all. It was pretty funny. Thank MLB Advanced Media for policing the web and removing an otherwise useless, yet amusing clip.
