Just Watch the Olympics: Sox-Sox Gamer IV

A little late, we were engrossed by synchronized diving. Seriously, what the f*ck is sychronized diving? When the olympics run out of new sports to feature, do they just add “synchronized” to an already-existing sport?

Just checked the score, it looks like the Red Sox are distracted by Beijing too. Comment on the offensive offense right here.

  • Meanwhile, from MLB.com:
The Indians traded the veteran Byrd to the Red Sox for a player to be named or cash on Tuesday.
Boston is getting Byrd at his best. After a rough first half in which he seemingly couldn’t keep the ball in the park, Byrd changed his windup, rediscovered his curveball, curtailed the home runs and gone 4-0 with a 1.24 ERA in four starts since the All-Star break. He is 7-10 with a 4.53 ERA in 22 starts overall.
Byrd — not my favorite guy, after last year’s playoffs, but I guess he’ll do when your rotation is at risk of decimation.
If tonight’s game is rained out, this may mean that Zink won’t actually get another chance at starting this year…
