    MikeFidborg-YF August 15, 2009, 11:30 pm
  • Teixeira really is an outstanding defender. I wonder what +/- will say about him at the end of the year.
And, Brad Penny’s season is eerily mirroring Darrel Rasner’s season last year. And for $5 million…what a bargain!

    AndrewYF August 15, 2009, 11:30 pm
  • that inning was fast.man…

  • “…HAHA DC…good point! Co-MVP’s???…”
nah, krueg…tex is probably our mvp…i just love jeter…the crowd that thinks he’s over-rated is just jealous…no shortstop controversy on our team…he’s not the most deserving this year, but he gets the lifetime achievement award as far as i’m concerned…

    dc August 15, 2009, 11:57 pm

    IronHorse August 16, 2009, 12:14 am
  • And SD just scored a TD after a fumble on the 3rdQ on the Seahawks. Must feel lame to be a Seattle fan tonight.

    MikeFidborg-YF August 16, 2009, 12:47 am
  • While I share the group-love…let’s see what happens in the playoffs. I feel like it’s been a decade since we won a f-cking series, let alone make it to the show…
    A haiku for your consideration:
    nothing will matter
if we cannot break the curse
    of 2004

    krueg August 16, 2009, 12:49 am
  • We should explode the 2004 curse with style. I say it with what I see. Of course Boston is Boston, they can always surprise us but the Yankees look like a big mean unstoppable mowing machine.

    MikeFidborg-YF August 16, 2009, 12:54 am
  • CAPTAIN CLUTCH!!!! INSURANCE HOME RUN!!!! 5-2!!!!!

    krueg August 16, 2009, 12:57 am

    MikeFidborg-YF August 16, 2009, 12:58 am
  • Agreed fiddy. Give it a wicked case of scabies and watch it die.

    krueg August 16, 2009, 12:58 am
  • I actually wrote “gonne”? Must be french. Anyway,Come on guys, let’s make Mo take a seat, more runs!

    MikeFidborg-YF August 16, 2009, 12:59 am
  • ENTER SANDMAN!!!

  • douche-iro singles…1st and 2nd, 1 out…

    krueg August 16, 2009, 1:07 am
  • Man,a hit for Suzuki is almost something you take for granted. We need a DP on 3rd and 1st.the best chance.

    MikeFidborg-YF August 16, 2009, 1:08 am
  • K. 2 outs.

    krueg August 16, 2009, 1:10 am
  • Man Rivera=total clutch!!

    MikeFidborg-YF August 16, 2009, 1:11 am
  • YANKEES WIN!!!! THAAAAAAAAAAAAAA YANKEES WIN!!!
    Mo is money.
    7.5
    Awesome.
    Another haiku:
    we dominate all
    the mighty yankees are rad
    whooping on that ass

    krueg August 16, 2009, 1:13 am
  • What does it feel like to win 23 out of 29?Feels like the Yankees. Very good pitching for everyone today, even Sergio, krueg.Robertson and Coke came out big and Mo,no comments.Offense did just the needed, and we win.Again!

    MikeFidborg-YF August 16, 2009, 1:14 am
  • Mo rolls. Again. The bean-balling in the SF-NYM game was seriously scary.

    IronHorse August 16, 2009, 1:16 am
  • Saw that…Wright took one in the mellon. Not cool. That Dodger pitcher too.

    krueg August 16, 2009, 1:16 am
  • If I were the sox I’d start fearing the “Empire” again.HEck,not only the sox, let’s keep it up to october.

    MikeFidborg-YF August 16, 2009, 1:17 am
  • Yeah,I was about to mention that but the game was too tense. Hope they are both OK,but take a long rest before returning. Didn’t see Kuroda being hit,saw Wright though.Freezes the gut to see that.Matt Cain that hit him was quite uncomfortable beside. But that aside, the uniform the Queens team was wearing today was quite nice looking.

    MikeFidborg-YF August 16, 2009, 1:21 am
  • Holy crap, since June 1st, the Yankees have had the best bullpen in baseball. First in ERA, Opponent Average, and strikeouts.
Best offense, best bullpen…two out of three ain’t bad. And a 4.06 ERA from the starters since then isn’t exactly below-average.

    AndrewYF August 16, 2009, 1:43 am
  • By baseball, I mean the league.

    AndrewYF August 16, 2009, 1:44 am
  • And, a month ago, the Yankees were 3 games out of first. They’ve gained 10 games in one month.

    AndrewYF August 16, 2009, 2:07 am
