The pitching has really been great the past two years in the playoffs…
It’s like bizarro-world to have the offense just disappear.
krueg October 16, 2012 at 9:07 pm
ICHIRO SINGLES!!!!!!
WE GOT THIS BABY!!!!
krueg October 16, 2012 at 9:08 pm

krueg October 16, 2012 at 9:12 pm
Well, I tried to be positive…
0-1 might as well be 0-10.
I am physically, mentally and emotionally spent from the past week. I get to sleep in my own bed tomorrow night. Going to crash now.
Hopefully the NHL is back soon because we are toast.
Brutal season guys, brutal. I think it’s going to get worse before it gets better.
krueg October 16, 2012 at 9:22 pm
What the fucking fuck.
attackgerbil October 16, 2012 at 10:58 pm
Never in a million years would I have thought that if the Yankee pitching performed the way they have all post-season, that the Yanks would have lost as many games as they have. Horrible. Just horrible.
IronHorse - YF October 16, 2012 at 11:09 pm
Nice Eduardo. Sometthing to cheer about anyway.
IronHorse - YF October 16, 2012 at 11:16 pm
Can CC win with an anoemic offense. Yes. Can Andy? Perhaps. But the futility of this offense is breathtaking.
IronHorse - YF October 16, 2012 at 11:52 pm
I see we lost again.
Apathy.

every team fails to win the mlb championship series most of the time, largely because they just don’t get there very often, so my biggest disappointment isn’t that the yankees are unlikely to get to this one, let alone win it, it’s that the haters are getting increasingly more vicious…as a yankee fan, i’m always in a no win situation…win, and it’s because we spend too much and bought all the good players…lose, and we’ve got a bunch of fat, lazy, over-paid, under-achievers…go ahead, celebrate your team’s victories, and the yankee losses…feel free to break my balls unmercifully, you’ve earned the right, and it doesn’t hurt, really…but you cross the line when you cheer and laugh at opposing players’ injuries…i watched most of these playoffs at a local watering hole…i was stunned at the reaction from people around me when jeter went down in obvious pain after he broke his ankle…same thing when hughes had to leave the game last night, and martin appeared to get nicked, though i still don’t know exactly what happened to him…we’ve had some pretty heated discussions on this site, but one thing i can say is that i don’t remember anyone here celebrating an injury…

Hey dc. It’s funny – I realize reading your last comment how insulated I am these days from real haters. I watch nearly all games from the comfort of my home, a hotel room abroad, or, when lucky, from the stands in the Bronx. Most of my friends and acquaintances who are Yankee-haters are old enough now that they’re just pre-occupied with other aspects of life and so I just haven’t had that exposure. Then there are the Sox fans among them who have their own considerable wounds to nurse from the past year+. But yeah, if I was hearing that stuff it would bug me to no end. Of course, you got to watch and root for two of the greatest players to ever play the game from their first call-ups to the ends of their exceptional careers – Jeter and Mariano – and nothing anyone says or does will ever replace that. Not to mention the championships they racked up. And in the end, that’s what really gets under their skin…
IronHorse - YF October 17, 2012 at 5:04 pm
thanks for letting me vent IH…i understand why people root against the yankees, and i have no problem with that…like you say, the success is what gets under the skin of fans of other teams…i know very few people whose team is out of the post season that decide to root for the yankees…hahaha…almost never happens…usually i hear that they’re rooting for whoever’s playing the yankees…like i said that’s cool, feel free to break my balls, win or lose…but the point they didn’t get is that it is not cool to mock a player in obvious pain…disturbing…thankfully it was a watering hole…no kids to see such a disgraceful lack of compassion…

> i don’t remember anyone here celebrating an injury
No, but I always secretly hoped for picture evidence of Carl Pavano’s buttocks.
