Looks like the Rocket’s got a fuel problem. But what’s the story with A-Rod’s shoes? And McCarver’s jacket? Yikes. Paging Miuccia.

  • Some on SoSH have proposed that Piazza was tipping the batters off. Could that be the final payback for the bat toss, the beanball? It’s unlikely, but ABSOLUTELY GENIUS if he did.

  • Someone raid the official scorer! A-Rod should have at least been charged with a base error on the “double”. He may not have had him at first, but he should have gloved it. Extends the inning, now the AL lead is in jeopardy. Home field advantage gone, potentially, thanks to the out-of-position MVP…

  • Where’s the Velveeta? Whoever’s responsible for the Clemens Journey-laced intro should be fired. And is this the farewell-to-the-farewell honor for Roger? Can we trust him to never come back again? Please?

  • Ortiz! Is he still standing at home plate? He should just take a chaise to the batter’s box.
PS: Would Piazza really tip to all those former Clemens teammates? (Derek, Soriano). Agreed on A-Rod’s defensive error and the bizzarro absence of Sox clips on the Clemens video.

  • Office talk has been that Piazza was indeed a tipster. Will be a thing of baseball lore…..
