Is there a Scooter Libby within the Sox front office? Possible, though it looks like the organization is (obliquely) fingering the confidant of a certain dissatisfied insider. Funny how art baseball imitates life. We wonder if there will in fact be a new GM in Beantown: Patrick Fitzgerald.

  • Boring. Manny wants out? Team’s brass unhappy with agents blabbing about “private” conversations?
    Where’s the news here?!

  • Didn’t I put a Manny question in one of the other threads? I can’t find it.

  • Suuuure. Like I am going to start worrying about the mercurial Ramirez supposedly demanding a trade in October…
Are you kidding? How about the Sox SIGN A GM first?

  • Actually, he’s pretty consistent in saying he wants to go, and he’s 10 and 5 (mental age and IQ, ha ha ha).
Did he have 10 and 5 trade rights before?

  • The Red Sox are being a little dramatic with their deception and betrayal theories. “Is there a leak?” Shut up. Who cares? It was probably Manny’s agent who told the papers. It’s not like the Red Sox were the only ones who knew. They had to actually be told. Either way, I bet Manny ends up in a Sox uniform eating mango salsa again next year.
