Mirror Conspiracy: Snakes-Cubs NLDS Gamer III

They find themselves down 0-2 in the series as they head back to their home field to face their opponent, a team that outperformed pre-season expectations and wound up with the best record in their league on the season. They were significantly outscored in one game, and mustered only run in the other of their series so far. Their phenomenally talented, third-baseman cleanup hitter has been blanked so far. Their big-game pitcher threw a masterful performance only to see the effort blown by the pen. Eerie stuff. Go Cubbies. Lineups follow, comment away.

  • More eerie similarities: Ramirez, mired in a post-season slump, is dropped down the lineup. Snakes don’t care either way and get a lead-off jack as well as another run from Drew who doubles and gets pushed across by a single.

  • Seems like the Cubs are just incapable of scoring runners. They have stranded a small army on the bases this series.
