Dan Wheeler apparently agrees to a deal with the Sox, per Gordon Edes' Twitter.
You won't have last year's bullpen to kick around anymore, at least.

It’s pretty much confirmed by other sources (AOL Fanhouse and WEEI pages). 1 year 3M with a vesting option for 2012 ($3M for 65 appearances, 3.25 for 75).
Plus the Sox won’t offer him arbitration if he ends up a Type A free agent at the end of 2011 season and Wheeler will decline arbitration offer if he ends up a Type B.
All figures per AOL Fanhouse…

Apparently the price for Felix Hernandez would be: Hughes, Cano, Montero and another young player.
Just speculation… but lol.

no, just a joke…that was from the onion right?…the yanks would be nuts to make that trade…not only does it take away a legit mvp-candidate position player, but a decent pitcher, leaving them in essentially the position they are in right now sp-wise, minus 2 prospects…dumb
It’s not what the Mariners asked for it’s what the reporter proposed DC. I was intrigued until I actually started reading it. It holds the same water as a trade proposal thought up by you or me.
As for the Sox bullpen, congrats guys you really have constructed (on paper) a very solid bullpen. The only thing I can hope for at this point (as a small gift to myself and to balance out all of these smart signings) is that Theo gets a little tipsy and gives Fuentes a 3 year deal with a stipulation in his contract that he has to pitch to A-Rod. ;)
