No More Mr. Nice Guy: Yanks-Os Gamer

Teixeira is back with a bang, lining a double in the first that got Jeter to third.  A-Rod’s sac fly brought him home for the 1-0 lead and now in the second Ichiro doubles Martin in for a 2-0 lead.  Saunders has thrown tons of pitches while CC worked a quick first.  The skies might open up at any moment, comment away…

  • 45 pitches for Saunders with one out in the top of the 2nd. Crush him please.

  • What the hell CC. Mark Reynolds has hit 7 home runs against the Yankees now and has hit 9 HRs in his past 9 games. WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?! He’s not even that good! Really! Someone tell him that!!! And he hits 5th. Pitch around him and go after the bottom of their lineup! Makes me ill.

  • Back-to-back homeruns. Reynolds and Ford. That’s right, Reynolds and Ford. I don’t lknow who they are either. CC has now blown leads in his last three starts against the two teams the Yanks are battling for the division. That is now ace behavior.

  • CC gets out of the 2nd. A horrible, disgusting, infuriating, all-too-CC-at-least-of-late 2nd. 2-2 game.

  • CC absolutely sucks now. He is KILLING the Yankees both by his performance and by the tremendous let-down of having our ace constantly start rather than end losing streaks. Just horrible. I don’t want CC to be hurt but I do hope there is some explanation for what the hell is going on with him now.

  • CC is pathetic…he is not an Ace. Never was. Just better than the pathetic putchers that Cashman has blown billions on over the last decade.

    The O’s are just better.

Heads need to fucking roll over this bullshit.

  • Finally saw the blown call that cost the Yanks the tying run in the 9th. On top of which, Teixeira re-injured his calf on the play. Holy freaking disaster on top of poor play on top of bad luck. Shoot me now.

  • Never should havecome to that…CC blew another game. That’s 3 in a row.

  • Another MRI for Tex…might be out for the season.

I fear that my alter-ego’s totally negativity might be justified this season.

Everything from day 1 has gone against us.

PS It might be time to find a new manager. I wish we could get a new GM but that won’t happen.

  • yep…we certainly can’t blame blowing a 10 game lead on 1 bad call…yanks have had a few of those go their way this year too…i guess if they were playing good baseball, i could get more annoyed about the call, but i’m more disappointed it came down to that…as it is, it’s big in the standings, tied, instead of up 2 games, but they never should have been in this position…they have themselves to blame…maybe they aren’t that good, or they are too old, or the o’s are just better right now…i guess we’ll see as the season plays out…back to the call: i suppose mlb will be obliged to fine tex for his post-game comments, but it would be ballsy to give him a pass…send a message to the umps that it’s time to get their act together…clearly the play was not even close…couldn’t tell from the still photos i saw if the ump was just out of position or blinked at the wrong time…either way, he deserves a stern talking to, maybe a note in his file, which is about as tough as mlb is allowed to get with those guys…poor, inconsistent umpiring is the 800 lb gorilla in the room, but mlb refuses to address it…it’s a shame to have yet another game-ending play determined by someone not wearing a baseball players uniform…i realize i just gave contradictory comments about how i feel about the play, but i’m consistent with how i feel about the entire season…i have grown weary from watching this team’s ups and downs…they give me a reason to hope one day, then tear it away from me the next…sad, but i just want the season to end…

  • Granderson showed up today…Cano too…we need these guys to get it together. Hopefully this is the start of it.

    THIS is more like it.

If Tex isn’t out for too long and Andy comes back…we might be on to something?

  • Finally an offensive romp. If Granderson really is back (together with Martin and A-Rod’s impressive play so far), then we really only need Swisher to wake up. He is in the worst slump of his career.

Of course, then there is our starting rotation. And bullpen. Though the latter looked great today for the first time in a while. Very nice work by Joba.
