Cano just hit a 2-out, RBI single with ARod on 2nd…
Seriously.
I saw it.
1-0
CSN hit a sweet single…
and has pitched 2 scoreless so far.
OH, and Raul hit a solo bomb.
2-0.
Top 3.
ARod single…
Cano double…
Tex walk…
Bases loaded.
1 out.
Groundhog Day?
3-0 on a passed ball.
About all you can expect at this point.
2 on and no outs in the 5th…
Nada.
Of course.
3-0 still.
Could be much worse.
Should be much worse.
1st and 3rd with 1 out…
ARod.
DP.
We should have at least 10 runs in this game.
Groundhog Day.
Bases loaded.
Again.
7th.
1 out.
Muscle up.
Groundhog Day?
DP.
Obviously.
Beyond belief at this point.
You watching the finals, Krueg?
What a meltdown by the Devils.
Flipping here and there…
Kings are smiting the Devils.
Great start by CSN.
The pitchers have really been solid lately.
Except CC.
Weird.
Victory.
4 in a row.
We’re starting to roll now? Maybe?
Still should have scored about 10 runs but a win is a win.
Pitching has been superb. Girardi has done another excellent juggling act with a bullpen that lost 3 of its top 4 arms. The Yanks still haven’t won a game unless they’ve hit a HR, but they’ve hit enough of those to earn them a share of the division lead and best record in the AL. It seems like Gardner will be out through at least the All-Star break if not longer which is unfortunate so I imagine they’ll remain every bit as dependent on the long ball to score as they have been to-date. But all in all, you have to be pleased as a YF.
I am only happy when the Yankees are in first place.
So I am happy per se, but not pleased.
HR’s are not going to carry us to the promised land. They have to start hitting w/RISP. Immediately.
Robertson due back by the weekend and I’ve got excellent tickets behind the dugout at Rays-Nats next Tuesday in DC. I was hoping it might be Strasburg but it looks like I get Wang instead. Blast from the past! Looking forward to seeing the Nats field and to watching that team up close – they bring the excitement…
