That’s what detractors of baseball say. Well, today they are literally quite right as no one got elected to the Hall this ballot. That’ll teach Biggio.

I think it’s kind of sad really.
Oh, it’s not, really. “Take the long view,” proponents of the current situation advise. Let it simmer a year. Don’t worry, it will all be resolved as a matter of Nature’s Course, which happens to be a laxative on sale now next to adult absorbent undergarments at your local grocer.
Yes, it is totally sad.
the problem is that baseball can’t or won’t decide what these honors represent, or what the criteria is…mvp, cy young, rookie of the year, hall of fame…i’m lifting a bit from jason stark, espn, but he’s said the closest to what i feel about the hall of fame…it’s a museum of baseball history, good and bad, not a shrine to baseball saints…truth be told, there probably aren’t any…i loved mickey mantle as a kid, although his best years were behind him when i was still pooping in my diapers, but the rumors about him were a bit unflattering…ty cobb was not a nice person, or so the story goes…yep, the steroids era was a horrible blemish on my favorite sport, something i will never forgive it (them) for…but, it happened, and to pretend it didn’t is, i don’t know, naive?…the shame is to shut out players based on suspicion and allegation in lieu of fact…slippery slope
