I have nothing to say about the Yankees or White Sox.  Except "Go White Sox".

Here’s your gamer.

  • lovely SF thank you.

  • Hey, what can I do? No YF showed up with a game thread! And you can’t argue with the title, right? I mean, it’s true!

    SF June 6, 2007, 8:14 pm
  • Go Yanks! =P I’m kind of sick and tired of all these runs that we get one day and not the next. Not so bad when you’re up 11 games, but the Yanks got to be more consistent!
Damon leads off with a double, and Jeter and Abreu strikes out in succession. Bah.

  • It’s the Former-Yankee revenge curse.
Remember when the Yankees got shut down by Jeff Weaver earlier?
Jesus, this game will probably be hard to watch.

    AndrewYF June 6, 2007, 8:42 pm
  • Actually, you know what, I remembered that wrong. Jeff Weaver’s lack of ability overcame the curse. But, Vazquez does not have such a lack.

  • ARod thrown out at second. Bad call again at 2B. Is it just me or it happens a lot against the Yanks?

    Lar June 6, 2007, 9:01 pm
  • arod drives in 2 then gets tossed at second on a highly questionable call. 3-0 bombers

    sam YF June 6, 2007, 9:02 pm
  • now posada gets tossed at 2b on tag up play. again looks safe…

    sam YF June 6, 2007, 9:08 pm
  • It does happen a lot against the Yankees. It even drove usually mild-mannered John Sterling to talk about it.
It just seems like dem’s the breaks this season.

  • Showed up late tonight, my apologies. I had to put together a toy for my son for 1 and a half hours, LOL…Some assembly required my BUTT!

  • Thanks for getting a gamer up, SF. Sorry about the lack of a YF-sponsored gamer; I’m on solo-dad duty tonight.

  • What happened with Posada at third?

    rootbeerfloat June 6, 2007, 9:55 pm
  • Damn, Wang is dealing. And the Yankees are still hitting, albeit still leaving their share of men on base. But all we ask is strong pitching and acceptable hitting. Or acceptable pitching and strong hitting. We’re getting the former, and I’m fine with that.

  • 79 pitches thru 7 for wanger. will joe leave him out there or give another unnecessary hook?

    sam YF June 6, 2007, 10:20 pm
  • If Torre doesn’t let Wang at least pitch into the ninth (barring disaster) I will think very bad words at him.

    AndrewYF June 6, 2007, 10:24 pm
  • id even type some of those bad words at him

    sam YF June 6, 2007, 10:25 pm
  • ding dong for Abreu. Dare i say he is back?

    sam YF June 6, 2007, 10:27 pm
  • I dare say you should Sam. Bobby for Jermaine now…? No way.

    bloodyank78 June 6, 2007, 10:28 pm
  • Captain w/the snare to end the inning. Wanger very efficient tonight.

    bloodyank78 June 6, 2007, 10:35 pm
  • Wang with a 4 run lead, and only 88 pitches through 8. No one’s working in the bullpen, so presumably he’s out.
Nice to see things coming together again – Abreu, Wang. We’ll see how long it lasts.

  • that first out in the 9th was the first flyball to the OF since the first inning

    sam YF June 6, 2007, 10:46 pm
  • 0-2 on Thome

    bloodyank78 June 6, 2007, 10:47 pm
  • I only have been watching since the bottom of the 7th, how has Miggy played 1st tonite?

    bloodyank78 June 6, 2007, 10:49 pm
  • miggy has been money tonite. good at first, 2 SBs. He is in there until the inevitable slump i hope.

    sam YF June 6, 2007, 10:50 pm
  • 104 pitch jem. thank you wang. Keep it moving tomorrow moose….

    sam YF June 6, 2007, 10:52 pm
  • Thanks YF. Ballgame, great pitching, key hits, crisp baseball. Keep it up boys.

    bloodyank78 June 6, 2007, 10:52 pm
  • Ahh, vintage Wang.
Yes, I know that sounds perverted.

    AndrewYF June 6, 2007, 10:55 pm
  • Andrew – I made that comment to the roomie outloud earlier, and thought the same. Hah!
I’m still bah though. I mean, even if the Sox lose today, we’re basically back to where we were about 2 weeks ago. Ah well, I guess progress is one at a time!

    Lar June 6, 2007, 11:12 pm
  • Yes, but both teams are FACING different directions!
Hah, but you’re right. At least two weeks ago there was hope.

    AndrewYF June 6, 2007, 11:19 pm
  • Andrew – I don’t mean to degrade it, but while I’m excited, I’m excited very moderately…
They’re facing the same directions, by the way – the Yanks are on the bottom looking up, and the Sox are on the top looking down. ;)

    Lar June 6, 2007, 11:27 pm
  • I have the image in my mind of a guy in a Yankees uniform stepping on Ozzie Guillen’s face, waving and smiling at a guy in a Red Sox uniform on a mountain who is being stabbed repeatedly by Billy Beane.
