In the course of publicly announcing his firing of Scott Boras yesterday, Mark Teixeira couldn't help but drop a little honesty:
Scott did a great job getting me my contract. I wanted to be in New York from the beginning, and everything that I’ve asked for has come through so far.
Can we finally dispose of the idea that "all things being equal" the Sox had a chance at Mark Teixeira?
(we should also add that Teixeira sounds utterly reasonable, thoughtful, and mature in explaining why he is now dropping Boras)
