I’ve been hard on ARod lately and you guys made me feel kinda bad about it…
SO, I have my #13 on tonight and I’m going to try and be nicer to ARod.
krueg July 24, 2012 at 10:12 pm
Is there anything more infuriating?

I think I might not watch this one…
Felix vs Freddie?
I don’t feel like being pissed off tonight.
2-5 roadtrip? At best? Vomit.
krueg July 24, 2012 at 10:33 pm
What the hell King Felix. Jeter and ARod plunked hard – ARod out of the game and not looking good at all. Freddy pitched pretty well tonight frankly – 3 runs in 7 innings is fine for the #5 starter, even against Seattle. But Hernandez has been on. And now he is wild as hell. Finally gets pulled. Make the pen pay Cano…
IronHorse - YF July 25, 2012 at 12:14 am
Damn. Jeter should have scored but had to hold up to see if Cano’s shot cleared the infield. Bases loaded, 1 out, hot-hitting Teixeira up. Please let my late night be worth something…
IronHorse - YF July 25, 2012 at 12:16 am
Teixeira absolutely smashes a line drive right at the CF. Damn. Sac brings in Jeter, but that could have been so much better. 2 outs, Ibanez up. Why no Jones facing the lefty???
IronHorse - YF July 25, 2012 at 12:17 am
Almost hits Ibanez in the head. I’m sorry. I don’t care if none of these three pitches was intentional, someone on the Mariners needs to get plunked.
IronHorse - YF July 25, 2012 at 12:18 am
Bases loaded twice in the game.
ZERO clutch hitting on this team. None.
krueg July 25, 2012 at 12:20 am
Ibanez Ks. So frustrating. The Mariners got lucky as hell on the Teix hit. I’ll be surprised and disappointed if Jaso doesn’t get a fastball in the ribs the next time he comes up.
IronHorse - YF July 25, 2012 at 12:22 am
Freddy out after getting one out in the 8th. All around a good game. Let down by the offense, which had both Felix and the pen against the wall in the 7th and 8th but only got one run out of it.
IronHorse - YF July 25, 2012 at 12:25 am
The cheering while ARod was down was the very definition of class…
I thought people up there were cool???
krueg July 25, 2012 at 12:25 am
Yep, Freddie was good tonight.
Pitching is not our problem, a completely one dimensional offense is…
We’ve seen this movie before IH. The last two years…
krueg July 25, 2012 at 12:27 am
This trip is a fucking disaster.
All that momentum, gone.
krueg July 25, 2012 at 12:36 am
We need Joba back…the bullpen has been shit lately.
krueg July 25, 2012 at 12:43 am
Walk the fucking bases loaded in a 1-run game…against the soft-hitting garbage Semen.
I cannot believe I stayed up for this bullshit.
krueg July 25, 2012 at 12:47 am
This is just the Mariners’ night. Loan induces the weakest swing I’ve ever seen on a 3-2 bases loaded pitch and it rolls perfectly slowly up the 3rd base line. RBI and everyone safe. Forget this.
IronHorse - YF July 25, 2012 at 12:47 am
0-38 when trailing after 8?
Pretty sure that’s the record now…
krueg July 25, 2012 at 12:55 am
wow. that’s a rough stat.
IronHorse - YF July 25, 2012 at 12:57 am
They plunked Jeter, Ichiro, and A-Rod, knocking A-Rod out of at least this game and likely more from the looks of it. This road trip is a freaking disaster. Bringing Ichiro home with them is the lone bright spot of an otherwise dismal final west coast swing of the season.
IronHorse - YF July 25, 2012 at 12:58 am
Martin stood like a statue as three breaking balls drop into the strike zone. Fitting. 1-6 so far. Finish this trip tomorrow with some pride and limp home fast please.
IronHorse - YF July 25, 2012 at 1:01 am
Am I wrong in thinking 0-38 trailing after 8 is pretty typical? Maybe for a great team you “expect” 2 wins or something, but there’s enough statistical variation that going 0-fer in that situation isn’t really THAT bad.
Devine July 25, 2012 at 1:10 am
King Felix broke Alex’s hand. He’s on the DL. For all the bashing of A-Rod we do, he was heating up – hitting .315 in July. Lovely roadtrip this has been.
IronHorse - YF July 25, 2012 at 1:16 am
It is that bad IH, especially when all 5 loses on this road trip were 1 or 2 runs against terrible teams…
I hate to say this, but I don’t think we’ll miss ARod. Not that I want to see anyone get hurt but I’m not that devastated by this. Not like he was driving in many runs or anything in the 3 or 4 hole.
I guess we’re going to see now. I have to think he’s out a month with a broken hand.
krueg July 25, 2012 at 1:19 am
Meredith Marakovits @M_Marakovits
Eric Chavez just said he broke same bone… Took him 8 weeks to get back … Said this injury really hurts but we’ll find away
That would be the season then basically.
krueg July 25, 2012 at 1:20 am
PS I’m implying the Yanks are a great team, y’all. .600 baseball and all.
Did you know that every AL East team except the Yankees (4-6) has gone 5-5 in the last 10 games? In 10 games, the AL East has gained a single game on the Yankees, 7 GA. It’s true that even rooting for a good baseball team sometimes isn’t that fun. You stress just as much over the horrible losses and endure bad stretches of play. Still, I do envy y’all…very much.
Devine July 25, 2012 at 1:20 am
Yeah Devine, the ALEast has not put on much of a show lately. The more baseball I watch this season the more I think LAA and Texas are a step above everyone else.
And krueg, I disagree about A-Rod. I know we bash him, and I do think he should be batting more like #5 or 6 than #4, but I think they’ll miss his bat. He was really getting hot lately.
