Red Sox go to Canada – Sox/Jays Gamer I

Sox currently lead 1-0 3-0 5-0 and have already squandered a bases-loaded, no-out opportunity capitalized on an early bases-loaded opportunity.

Who would have thought Jason Varitek would have more HR and RBI than Victor Martinez at this point of the season?

Comment on all the action here.

Yeah…I was working on a series but finals and graduation have gotten in the way.
I almost have the first part done. I just need to sit down and write it out, it’s interesting stuff.

I will soon be in possession of an iPad, and am currently wondering why I paid $14.99 for the MLB app, and am certainly reconsidering buying MLB.tv for the thing to watch games. Seriously, I may be better off buying 100 one-dollar app games. More entertaining.
What an awful season so far, between our AAA outfield and the lack of performance. Worst in a loooooong time.

Speaking of apps, for anyone who uses mlb.tv–
If you have a PS3, they just released a really slick (and Free!) app for the playstation that runs mlb.tv very well on your television.
Also, this is not how I would have seen the game tonight unfolding. Got a ways to go…

Hey SF, how often do you use the mlb.tv audio on your iPhone? Lately the NESN broadcasts on it have not been consistently good; sometimes it will play for an hour straight, and other times it will go in and out despite me having complete coverage.

I’m hoping this gets to the point where it’s 20+-20+. Wouldn’t even care who won.
I wonder if there has ever been a major league game where both teams score 20 runs. Or even 15 runs. Someone should use their baseball-reference skills and look up the answer. Probably just go by ‘total runs scored’ and work your way down.

On August 25, 1922, the highest scoring game in major league history took place: the Chicago Cubs defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 26–23, a total of 49 runs.

Ath –
I haven’t purchased MLB.tv yet – had it last year and used it quite a bit on the iPhone. Waiting until I get the iPad for this season, though the Sox are making the purchase look a tad, uh, inadvisable.

Ahh okay. Last week every single Sox game had problems loading; I got the error message “temporarily unavailable” every time. Since Friday it’s been working fine though.

Just got home from coaching a Little League game that was scoreless through the first 4 innings and ended 3-0. Sounds like my 10 year olds were playing better baseball than these guys.
