Road Trippin’ Yanks-Tigers Gamer

Ahoy hoy. Checking in from the NY Thruway at a rest stop somewhere outside of Utica, as the S.O. and I along with the little man are continuing our vacation and wondering if we should try and find the game on the AM radio. She Tigers fan, me Yanks fan, child horribly conflicted. iPod harmony vs. baseball family strife. Hmm. Anyway here’s your gamer for today’s action. Comment away.

  • Not feeling this lineup Joe. We are in playoff chase you can’t give Jeter and Jorge the same day off. Just can’t happen.
Anyway won’t be around to comment today, another BBQ, not happy. I’ll be here in spirit, Go Yanks!

  • I don’t love the lineup either but Jeter is batting barely above .200 for almost 2 weeeks now and Jorge looked tired and alomost out of the game Friday night/Saturday morning – at least a few bad throws to second, terrible base-running on what should have been a triple, etc. and then, together with Jeter, went 0-for last night. Also, if there is a day we will need EVERYONE, it is tomorrow (Mussina vs. Verlander – shudder)

  • Phil Franchise has given up three homers today. One of which was the “run real fast variety” inside the park style.

  • Seattle finally figured out how to lose. Hate to say it, but I am officially turning my attention to them now.
